Luis Felipe is a partner in the Corporate/M&A Group of A/C/R. He advises on a variety of transaction types and across various sectors, but has particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, whether acting for multinationals, large corporations, start-ups, entrepreneurs or investors. In doing so, he handles all aspects of corporate law: business sales and acquisitions, fundraising and investment transactions, joint ventures, and reorganizations.From 2004 to 2005, he served as Unilever's internal regional advisor, in charge of the company's local operations as well as M&A in Latin America. He also worked as a foreign associate from 2002-2003 at the New York City law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.Luis Felipe is also part of the Energy, project and Infrastructure Group, his knowledge and experience have led him to represent several of the most important firms operating in Latin America, related to infrastructure, mining and energy projects, with a special focus on non-conventional renewable energy projects.He is endorsed by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250, Best Lawyers, Leaders League, Who’s Who Legal, and Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA).

Relevant Experience

• Solarpack | Advised on the acquisition of 100% of the outstanding shares of three solar projects owned by Lader Energy, totalling 460 MWp. All the projects are in the development stage.

• Advised a Chilean company that produces and sells pulp, wood and paper on the acquisition process of a European company, a leading supplier of paper bags, including plants in seven countries with a production capacity of 769 million bags per year

• Centrovet | Advised on the sale of 49% of its shares to the French company Virbac, becoming the sole owner of the company based in Chile. With this acquisition, Virbac expands and consolidates its presence in Chile in addition to continuing to invest heavily in aquaculture, a strategic segment for the animal health company, both in Chile and Latin America.

• Peninsula | Advised this Brazilian private investment firm, on the USD 80 million acquisition of 48.6% of the Chilean Vitamina shares, together with LGT Lightstone. Vitamina develops and manages 65 high-quality early childhood education and preschool centres in Chile. This investment may enable potential expansions of Vitamina business in the coming years to other Latin American countries, beginning with Brazil, Peru and Colombia

Porsche Aktiengesellschaft | Advised a world leader in the manufacturing and sale of luxury vehicles, on the development of a joint venture to produce bioethanol, together with two other world-class companies. Our work included support during the evaluation phase of the project, along with contract negotiations for the pilot manufacturing site in Chile.

• EDEMSA | Advised as a construction company (EPC contractor) of the Interchile line connecting regions in the procurement of building permits, work facilities, warehouses, towers, surface modification, among others. The objective of this project is to build the most significant high voltage line in Chile, which will allow the interconnection of the two transmission systems in Chile.
