Description
Fernando is a partner in the Corporate/M&A team at A/C/R. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, capital markets, corporate law, and the development and financing of projects in the energy, infrastructure, and agribusiness sectors.
His experience also includes representing shareholders in exercising their rights against other stakeholders at all applicable levels, and he has also served as a director in companies actively involved in various industries.
As part of the Energy, Projects, and Infrastructure team, he has advised national and foreign companies on participating in public and private infrastructure tenders, and has advised various agribusiness and renewable energy projects in Chile and other countries in the region, including consolidating the rights upon which future exploitation is based, financing, construction of works, and negotiation of contracts enabling long-term project exploitation.
He has been recommended by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers, IFLR 1000, Leaders League, Latin Lawyer 250, and Acritas Stars.

• Verano Energy | Advising on the sale, development, and construction of a portfolio of over 600 MW, with assets in Chile, Peru, and Colombia, to Yinson Renewables.
• Verano Energy | Advising on the acquisition of three solar projects in Colombia totaling 296 MWp, generating clean energy for 30 years and reducing annual CO2 emissions by approximately 312,000 tons.
• Shareholders of one of Chile's leading waste management operators, on the sale of 100% stake to EBI Operations, a transporter and collector of organic and recyclable materials, in three successive stages.
• Comercial Pacific, on the sale of its conveyor belt business unit to Habasit.
• Hidroeléctrica Lumen S.A. | Advising on procedures and easements to connect the "Río Chaica" run-of-river hydroelectric plant to the Central Interconnected System (SIC).
• Socer S.A. | Advising on project financing negotiations for three power generation plants in southern Chile, with Banco Bice as the lender. Our role includes assessing the project's specific conditions regarding water rights and land use agreements related to the guarantees to be provided as part of the project financing structure.
